MILL CREEK LUMBER’S PAINT DONATION HELPS USD 353 YOUTH ACHIEVE
USD 353 wins True Value Foundation’s Painting a Brighter Future grant
Wellington, KS (August 1st, 2024) – A fresh coat of paint brightens any room, and this summer USD 353 will refresh its learning environment with 20 gallons of donated paint.
USD 353 was selected as the winner of a paint grant through Mill Creek Lumber’s partnership with True Value Foundation’s Painting a Brighter Future program. A True Value Foundation paint grant helps improve learning environments and can have an impact on youth attitudes and performance. Over 2,600 schools and youth-development-focused organizations across the country have been awarded paint since the program’s inception in 2009, covering over 27 million square feet of learning space.
Partnering with True Value Foundation, Mill Creek Lumber nominated USD 353 for a 20-gallon paint grant to help refresh youth learning spaces. Mill Creek Lumber has delivered the high-quality EasyCare paint to our schools and the painting will be completed just in time for the new school year begins!
USD 353 will use this generous donation to paint the WHS weight room and the hallways and classrooms in many of our schools to add a fresh look and a clean environment for our students. The district appreciates the support of Mill Creek Lumber and True Value for this amazing grant that we have been gifted. We know our students will enjoy working out, learning, and playing in our newly painted facilities!

True Value Foundation unites retailers in helping improve the lives of children in the communities True Value serves.
