Wellington High School Celebrates Students in Career and Technical Education

 

What: Students and faculty at Wellington High School are celebrating Career and Technical Education (CTE).  This year’s theme is Get in Gear with CTE! Hundreds of CTE students will showcase their work. The public is invited to attend and support their endeavors. 

 

The CTE Showcase is an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE educates students to be college- and career-ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand career fields. 

The showcase will illustrate the rigor and relevance CTE courses offer our students. By partnering with the business community, WHS CTE programs are investing in students’ lives with the latest technology and skills that will prepare them to become successful employees as well as future leaders.

 

Who: Students in Agriculture, Business, Construction, Family & Consumer Science, Health Science, Visual Arts, Web & Digital Design

 

Why: 

*See the skills of the potential workforce in action 

*Invest in the young people of Wellington High School

*Support school-based businesses from construction and welding to graphic & web design

*Demonstrations include: x-carve, plasma cam, 3-D printer

*Appetizers prepared by culinary students

*Drawing for prizes 

 

Who Should Attend: Industry, Community Members, Parents, Business Owners,

Non Profit Organizations, Future Employers, Entrepreneurs

 

When: Wed. Apr. 24, 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. (come and go)
