School Threat Investigation
Today January 26th, the Wellington High School Administration was alerted to a Snapchat message that was sent last Friday, January 20th during the school day. The student who sent it last week was angry about an incident that happened at school that day. The language used in the Snapchat message did mention harm to other students and language regarding a school shooting. The WHS Administration contacted the police and will continue to follow the district's Threat Assessment Protocol. The WHS Administration and Wellington Police Department have been investigating the situation and report that there is no danger to students at WHS.
