Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 deemed Steve Sturgis (Mr. Crusader) Day
The Wellington City Council and USD 353 BOE held a joint meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 1st where they signed a proclamation deeming Tuesday, February 8th as Steve Sturgis (Mr. Crusader) Day. A copy of the proclamation can be viewed here
Steve passed away on January 25th. He was a beloved teacher, mentor, coworker, and friend to all who knew him. He devoted over 20 years to the school district and community as a photographer, webmaster and teacher.
In honor of Steve on Tuesday, February 8th we ask the community to wear red, engage in an act of kindness and show your pride by attending the Crusader basketball game. The games will be at home against Wichita Collegiate. The district will be honoring Steve at the games.
