USD 353's Lincoln Elementary School held their annual "LINCOLN PATRIOT DASH" Friday afternoon, under total sunshine, hardly any wind, and temps close to 80.
The K thru 5 students, with much exuberance, ran the "obstacle course" setup for the event. Lots of going over or under things, navigating the "HOT" Lava Rock field, shooting and making a basket, walking and balancing on two, not just one balance beam. The reward in the end - two different things - both water related.
The Wellington Fire Department was on hand with their cooling hose as the participants approached the finish line. At the finish line itself, each was handed a bottle of water as they wound down from the challenges of "THE PATRIOT DASH"! Great Job Lincoln! Fun stuff and a great fundraiser idea to boot! Lots of smiles as well.
GO PATRIOTS!!
