Industrial Arts @ WHS * Hands-On & Practical

Industrial Arts is an educational program which features fabrication of objects in wood or metal using a variety of hand, power, or machine tools. A visit to Mr. Ryan Elder's classes on Wednesday at WHS found many interesting and practical projects in progress. No student encouragement is needed - when the bell rings the students get down to business. A couple of classes were building tool caddies, others worked on numerous woodwork items including tables, outdoor furniture and more.

WHS Carpentry Class doing Real-World construction!

Mr. Ryan Elder's Carpentry class out at WHS are redesigning the trash bin area (located between the school and the practice fields) for two purposes. First, one side will be for football equipment storage. Second, the other side will be for storage of maintenance equipment for the grounds crew. Students involved with the hands-on construction project are Jack Heimer, Jessie Morrison, Mitch Gould and Blaze Marshall. Be the hammer gentlemen!!
