The 4th Annual Career & Technical Education Showcase was held Wednesday evening at WHS. The CTE Showcase is an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE educates students to be college and career ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand career fields. The following displays were part of the event:
OVER 60 BAND MEMBERS PERFORM! Under the direction of Kaleb Todd, both the Jazz and Concert Bands presented their Christmas performances to a large gathering in the WHS Auditorium Thursday evening. The Jazz Band opened with "Jingle Bell Rock", "Hot Chocolate" and "Feliz Navidad".
At the NHS Induction Ceremony Sunday at WHS, "36" Crusaders took the pledge and became official NHS members. Eligibility is based upon GPA and other criteria established by the organization. Each member has a GPA of 3.5 or higher. As members, extra expectations will be placed upon them as well, including 25 hours of community service.
Members of Ms. Katie Ford's CRUSADER WAY class out at WHS were downtown Monday helping THE CITY clean the streets. Each "Crusader Way" group comes up with their own community project, they plan it out and make all the logistical arrangements and then bring the project to fruition.
