The WHS Leadership class and The Lions Club are joining forces this holiday season to bring the high school and community Operation Holiday. Operation Holiday is adopting families in the community for the Christmas season to bring them presents and joy for the holidays.

Local WHS Girls Tennis Coach and Vice-Principal at Wellington Middle School, Brian Aufdengarten, has been receiving awards on the State or "District" level and now has been recognized additionally by the USTA at the "Sectional" level for his design and creation of a State of Kansas HS Tennis Website!

WHS Clay Target Team Finishes 2nd in 2016 FALL LEAGUE

Clay Target LeagueAfter five weeks of competition in the 2016 Fall Clay Target League, the WHS Clay Target Team finished out the 2016 Fall Season in 2nd place in Class A - Conference 1 just behind Ashland HS with 252.5 total points. Ashland finished with 278.0 total points to claim the championship. Others in Conference 1 included Nickerson HS in 3rd place with 210.5 total season points and Chase HS with 30.0 season pts.

WHS Clay Target Team in 2nd Place After 2 Meets!

Clay Target LeagueAfter two weeks of competition in the 2016 Fall Clay Target League, the WHS Clay Target Team finds itself in 2nd place in Class A - Conference 1 with 111.5 total points. In first at this juncture is Ashland with 130.5 total points. After 2 weeks, Wellington has "5" of the "Top 10" male members average score-wise.
