SUPERHEROES-LINCOLN FUN NIGHT 2016Saturday was FAMILY FUN NIGHT @ Lincoln Elementary! Many students and their families were on hand for fun and games including a very popular CAKE WALK! Some SUPERHEROES were on scene as well. There were inflatables, cotton candy, balloon animals, Frito Chili Pie, and more!

Wellington 4th/5th Graders Attend Symphony & More!

Some of Wellington's Fourth & Fifth graders attended the Wichita Symphony's Young People's Concert on Thursday. It was "Gershwin's Magic Key." Afterwards the group had an interesting visit to the Sedgwick County Historical Museum in honor of Kansas Day! A wonderful time was had by all! D.A.R.E. Graduation Held @ WHS - Jan. 2016

D.A.R.E. GRADUATIONWellington's 5th graders are now official D.A.R.E. GRADUATES after a ceremony Tuesday evening at WHS. WPD Officer Jim Yunker, the school district SRO leads up the D.A.R.E. classroom training for the students here in USD 353. S.A.D.D. members from WHS assisted Officer Yunker with the program.

Santa's Sleigh Spotted On Top of Lincoln Elementary?

KENNEDY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM Santa, Mrs. Claus and James all visited Lincoln Elementary on Wednesday to meet with all the students in their individual classrooms and give each a choice of gift from the many grab bags the Santa entourage brings with them. Interestingly enough, Santa and his family disguise themselves as the HINMAN'S during the off-season...never knew!

"Poetry Slam" @ #7 Coffee House

Lincoln Poetry Slam Students from Lincoln Elementary entertained the customers at #7 Coffee House Tuesday afternoon in downtown Wellington with a "Poetry Slam"...5th grade Lincoln instructors Aubrey Yager and Stephanie Ryan wanted to try and make poetry more "fun and engaging" for their students so they studied five different types of poetry: acrostic, haiku, limerick, diamante and free verse.


RED WHEELRED WHEEL, based out of IOWA, is the manufacturer of the largest variety of frozen food for fundraising distributors in the industry. They sell more than 50 food products, all different and delicious, and have been doing so since 1982.

Family Time @ Lincoln Elementary

Lincoln Elementary Family Time!Lincoln Elementary "Families" joined together and ate lunch Friday. Sack lunches were on hand so each "family" could pick a place to gather and eat and enjoy each other's company and support. Some chose a classroom, others went outside to enjoy the nice weather.


Lincoln Elementary Pays It Back!Jennifer Worley's and Loryn Zoglmann's 2nd graders at Lincoln Elementary have been learning recently about patriotism and their local heroes. The students collected snacks and treats to make up some goodie baskets for their local police and firemen! They also wrote thank you notes and drew pictures. Awesome job Patriots!!
