2016 IKE COLOR RUN FUNDRAISER - GREAT EXERCISE TOO!

IKE COLOR RUN 2016 The "IKE COLOR RUN" was held Friday at Eisenhower Elementary. Monies raised through the Color Run are used for technology and field trips. It is one of the biggest or the biggest fundraiser for the IKE PTA each year. The students and staff and on-lookers all have a blast and it's great exercise to boot!

5th Grade Eagles Launch Balloons!

EISENHOWER STUDENTS LAUNCH HOMEMADE BALLOONS 5TH Grade Students @ Eisenhower as part of their studies about the HINDENBURG dirigible airship, constructed their own balloons out of tissue paper and glue and launched them this past week apparently with more success than the HINDENBURG itself.

Wellington 4th/5th Graders Attend Symphony & More!

Some of Wellington's Fourth & Fifth graders attended the Wichita Symphony's Young People's Concert on Thursday. It was "Gershwin's Magic Key." Afterwards the group had an interesting visit to the Sedgwick County Historical Museum in honor of Kansas Day! A wonderful time was had by all! D.A.R.E. Graduation Held @ WHS - Jan. 2016

D.A.R.E. GRADUATIONWellington's 5th graders are now official D.A.R.E. GRADUATES after a ceremony Tuesday evening at WHS. WPD Officer Jim Yunker, the school district SRO leads up the D.A.R.E. classroom training for the students here in USD 353. S.A.D.D. members from WHS assisted Officer Yunker with the program.

KANSAS DAY @ IKEKANSAS DAY OR WAS THAT KANSAS WEEK?Friday this week is officially KANSAS DAY, an observed holiday here in Kansas since 1877. Eisenhower Elementary observes this special day all week long with daily themes, etc. Today (Monday) was "Farmer's Day", quite appropriate for KANSAS DAY and as you can see in the photo!!
