Wellington High School Senior Marisa Black continues to gather honors and attention as a flutist.
For the second year in a row she has won a position in the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) State Honor Band.
She, along with over 100 other flutists, auditioned for one of twelve positions in the band. She earned second chair, first flute honors as a result of that audition. This band will rehearse and give a concert at the KMEA convention in Wichita in February.
Most recently she was invited to participate in the Wichita State University Honor Band that was held on Jan. 26th and 27th, As a result of the audition for placement in this group, she was named first chair.
