EDUCATION WEEK

This week is American Education Week. Though it's close at hand your WNEA officers and committee members hope you will take a little time to celebrate the week.

Here are the designations for each day, and a few suggestions for activities:

Monday - Kick Off Day
Tuesday - Parents' Day - invite parents to participate in a lesson, an activity, or read to students.
Wednesday - Educational Support Staff Appreciation Day - say thanks to all the support staff that help our schools run
Thursday - Educator for a Day - invite someone outside the field of Education to speak to your class, lead or participate in an activity, or read to your class
Friday - Substitute Educators' Day- Jot a note to your favorite substitute or have your students create some artwork or make some thank you cards that you can include with your lesson plans throughout the rest of the year

For more ideas, visit www.nea.org and click on Events bar and select American Education Week.

On behalf of WNEA Officers and American Education Week Committee, we would like to say thank you for all you do to make USD 353 great!
