Kennedy Students "Read To Rescues" @ Humane Society Tuesday!

The Kennedy students had an amazing experience on Tuesday this week, Reading to Rescues, at our local Wellington Humane Society!

It was an incredible experience for the students, to have the opportunity to read aloud to animals, as well as to learn positive character traits such as compassion and empathy. This was also a wonderful experience for the adorable rescue animals (dogs and cats) who are housed at the Wellington Humane Society. They were fascinated with our students, and really enjoyed being read aloud to.

WHS FFA Visits State Legislature on President's Day!

Wellington FFA Officers attended the KACTE Day On The Hill in Topeka Monday and met with several legislators. Bill Rhiley and Larry Alley came and spoke with students about their experience in Agriculture! (Courtesy Pic - WHS FFA)

WHS Drama Presents "ONE ACT PLAYS"!

The CRUSADERS OF THE STAGE at WHS presented a variety of funny and entertaining "one act plays", written and directed by the students themselves, over this weekend. Numerous patrons were on hand for their opening on Friday, be sure to check out the pics below!! The curtain goes up again tonight @ 7PM - Admission is $5 for Adults and $3 for students, children 5 and under get in free.
